I did this sketch as soon as I got the American Dream mini-series assignment to familiarize myself with these characters.

Many of them show up in the American Dream mini-series beginning May 7th.

J2 is my favorite. I actually think both marvel and DC need to move on to a new generation of heroes. Completely new. Not some "Ultimate" or "All Star" line. But completely new heroes and villains. The heroes they have now may still be selling but the continuation and history is going to start getting messed up. Not only that but The same heroes and villains fighting all the time is going to get tired. I like the Marvel 2 line with American dream and those guy's. I feel some of the characters have been half-assed though because they decided to follow the character their taking after.

Not only that but alot of the comics today with the big selling heroes have more adult, complex stories with lots of characterization that are hard for kids to follow. The industry needs to stop catering the fanboys of the 60's 70's and 80's... And 90's. They need to remember that they also need to pull in some new audience to keep the business strong. Image, Wildstorm, and Topcow sure as hell aren't doing that.

As much as I love the characters in continuation now I think it's time to move on with some fresh ideas for all audiences.
