I am penciling/inking a new series for Robert Kirkman! It's a spinoff from his book Invincible called Guarding the Globe. It's a new ongoing series and the first 3 issues are out now!

Mr. Nauck, this is fantastic. I love the way you did the highlights. Did you use the colorless blender on her hair?

Thanks! No colorless blender. Just layering different shades of warm gray 00-04.

Really? That's crazy... it looks like the hair is more honey rather than warm-gray... but hey, if you say so! Your style is so unique and it's inspiring to see the range of shading and texture you can get with Copics. Do you any advice regarding coloring? Thanks!

Working with grayscale is fun. Our eyes interpret the grays as the actual color.
My advice about coloring with markers is: experiment! Copic Sketch Markers have a brush tip that can create amazing textures. I also encourage full saturation. That's a good way to get a deep seamless color going.
You can see some of my speed drawings on YouTube. I have at least 1 Copic video up at the moment: [link]
Hope this helps!

Hey Mr. Nauck, thank you that advice! I actually have looked at a few of your videos and using grayscale markers now makes a lot more sense haha.

I just got a set of cool gray and warm gray Copics so I'm looking forward to experimenting with them.

Thanks again for the advice and the art!
