New Mutants 2011 by ToddNauck New Mutants 2011 by ToddNauck
New Mutants.

One of my favorite team books. Especially the original series.

Did this piece for fun a few months back. Was considering making a print of it.

Nice work as usual! Whatever happened to Wildguard? It was a cool concept and a fun read!

Cannonball was/is my favorite (if he's still alive). Doug is cool too.

They are all alive and kicking in their newest series that's only up to issue #27.

I'll have to give it a look see ... I don't think I saw it at the comic shop yesterday, but that's mostly because I read Disney books, Archie and DC. Cannonball has always been my favorite. I remember X-Force was my favorite book back in the day, Liefeld's cover for no. 9 hehe, still my favorite. Cable with that big gun and Shatterstar with the swords. I loved that.

You made Warlock (Douglock? I just can't keep track!) look both geeky and scary.
What color would you like your internet?

I'm a big Warlock fan. Ever since Web of Spider-Man Annual #2.

I remember first seeing him on the old X-men cartoon. He was so geeky and awkward, sounded like a robot nerd, AND he could do the coolest stuff I wanted to do, like eat forks (don't ask, it's a long story).
I'm gonna have to go find his episodes online.

Wow! That really takes me back. This was one of my favorite comics growing up, especially this particular line up, Magik being my favorite, as you can tell by my username...jajajaja!

Actually, this is the current book's line-up. So excited the team is back together (sans Wolfsbane).

Offhand...
Robot guy is Warlock, feet on fire is Cannonball, jumping shadow dude is Sunspot, and I think the orange chick is Magma. They keep switching the cast around so much, I can't figure out the rest. Try googling them.

Amazing, as always, Todd! Would love to see you do an arc or 20 on this book. It desperately needs some consistent, exciting art.

My only familiarity with these guys is a What If? comic where half of them went to live in Asgard and Stom became the new Goddess of Thunder. Yeah. Cool drawing though. :XD:

Definitely interested in learning more about the fella with the burning red eyes and the machine man in the back that's going bonkers. They stand out the most in my opinion.

I must admit, as much as I love the classic X team I always welcome as many new mutants in the series as possible. Bring 'em on!

Grown-up. Well early 20's I'd imagine. They are their own team of X-Men operating under the name New Mutants.

Cool, I will have to check that out- the X-books I haven't really been to up to date on, I mostly like the Avengers stuff these days, and Hulk. And even then I am still a bit behind. From the Avengers titles I know Dani lost her Valkyrie status, or is it she kept that but lost her mutant powers? Somehting like that.

You need to print shirts with that slogan on it! I'd buy one. As would, I'm sure, many tens of others. Ten others? Well, eight for sure.
