Came across the old Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Rogue entry and was inspired to draw this design.

Drawn with COPIC markers and Pigma/Micron markers.

Beautifully done! Love the pure blacks and the great background. Totally unrelated, but my favorite handbook (1st series) entry was Alan Weiss' Doc Samson. The character gets no respect but he never looked better!

I always dug rogue in the mullet, her character always struck me as that kind of gal.
Sweet drawing Todd :D

Great picture! Yeah, this was the era of x-men where i got on board. I remember Storm with the mohawk looking quite bad-ass. Ahh, back when Claremont could write a good story... ;)

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.'
How do you know I'm mad? said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, or you wouldn't have come here.'

So very cool! :D

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

I came across those old handbooks recently too, Todd. Love the classic looks from that era. My personal favorites were Nova by Rick Leonardi, Rogue by Paul Smith wearing her old "all green" outfit from Avenger Annual 10 and Torpedo by Bill Reinhold. I get inspiration from these on a daily basis and they help me improve on my "static stance".
