This is a piece I drew for a new banner for my Artist Alley table at conventions.
Now y'all know what to look for to find me!

This piece is colored by the incredible Benny Fuentes!

Symbiote Spiderman shoots webbing from the top of his hands, where the white patch is. And he makes a fist when he does it. Not from the bottom of his wrist, with the index and pinky fingers extended. Only red & blue Spidey does that. Amazing artwork though.

Very true. However, this isn't the symbiote costume.

It's the cloth costume Black Cat had made for him back in the late 80's and he put back on in 2006 for Spider-Man: Back in Black. His webshooters for this costume were like his red-n-blues.
I drew the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man arc of Back in Black. This art was for my banner when that was my most popular credential at that time.

"....but doesn't the web come out of the white part on the top of his hand when he's got the black costume? Or is that just Venom....?"

OK, when Spidey wore the alien costume, the webbing came out of small black 'spinnerettes' within the white areas on the back of his hands, but, when he wore the cloth version made by the Black Cat, the webbing came out exactly the same as with his red and blue traditional costume, from the underside of his wrists.

I dunno. It's been too long since I read any of the comics.

You're going to San Diego Comic Con? Great! I'll be looking for you.
Wonderful job with Spidey, Todd- I loved his "Back in Black" series the best because he looks just so dang good in black!

It's great to see a variant of the black suit that uses inks and blue tones, instead of a large black silhouette with muscles marked by white outlines, which is usually how they do it (McGuiness style, I've most recently seen).

Great work to both penciller/inker and colorist!
