..... first let me say I love your artwork. I saw your stuff on the link and i think it's your best work to date. That being said, I have to say how disappointed I am.
I am someone who has a very limited income, and whatever money i don't spend on my essentials I spend on comics, or try to. With that being said, I have been behind in my ability to collect because of that, and the advent of the 4 dollar comic book.
I frequent a store that gives back to it's buyers to a large degree, which is the only reason I am catching up, but had I gone to a typical comic store, to buy 13 comics I would have spent close to 50 dollars..... that's for 1 week's worth of comics. Imagine that for a month? Back when comics were 3 dollars on average and a 4 dollar book was reserved for an annual or a doublesized issue, I use to buy a hell of a lot more books. At this point in time I am very limited in the books I an enjoy.
Long story short, I can only afford to buy the major books that keep me in the loop about what is going on company and industry wide. Whats sad is that I can't even buy my Spider-man books since they are weekly (or is it bi monthly) because they come out so often and are so expensive for the speed in which they come out. If I focused on Spidey, i'd lose out on all the other books I have to buy, and that frustrates the hell out of me. I am a Spider-man fan moreso than any other character, but i am a comic fan first, so I've had to do without.....
The prices Marvel and DC are pushing on us is really hard to stomach, so unfortunately, i am going to have to miss out on this book, along with Tom Raney's Hawkeye book..... it's really sad and frustrating.....
I should haveread the whole post!!! If you are handling the art then perhaps I may take this story in. The original story was the jumping off point for me.
Wasn't that the storyline that started the fall of Marvel and the end of the speculator glut of the 90's? I could be wrong but the two occasions seem to have happened at nearly the same time maybe I just connected them.
actually no. The speculator market was already crashing and from everything I read this storyline was the only thing marvel had that wasn't falling AS badly as everything else they had
lol all I gotta say is thank you. One of my first comics when I was younger was actually the 3 part issue that finally gave Peter his ending and gave the book to Ben Reilly
